Old Buckenham Hall School

Old Buckenham Hall School was founded in 1852 and quickly established itself as a school of some repute, located in Lowestoft on the East Coast of Suffolk.  In September 1956, the school was relocated to Brettenham Park in the heart of Suffolk.  Today it continues to thrive as a co-educational preparatory school.

In 2025, Old Buckenham Hall School entered a significant transition period as preparations began for its acquisition by Rugby School. As part of the due‑diligence process, EPC Marketing was commissioned to undertake comprehensive energy performance assessments across the estate. This included the main school buildings as well as multiple domestic residences used by staff and boarding pupils. These assessments provided a clear, data‑driven picture of the school’s current energy performance, highlighted opportunities for improvement, and ensured full compliance with regulatory requirements ahead of the sale with the production of 8 separate Energy Performance Certificates.
